Little White Lies – A truly original summer classic

Little White Lies

Funny, moving, poignant, tragic

This week one of the biggest box office hits in French cinema history is opening across Curzon Cinemas (London). From Guillaume Canet, the director of Tell No One, Little White Lies is a charming, emotional and at times funny insight into a group of friends as they attempt to make sense of their relationships with one another.

Despite a traumatic event, a group of friends decide to go ahead with their annual beach vacation. Their relationships, convictions, sense of guilt and friendship are sorely tested as they are finally forced to own up to the little white lies they have been telling each other. Marshalling a who’s who of contemporary French acting talent, director Canet (Tell No One) has fashioned a beautifully written and poignant companion piece to Lawrence Kasdan’s The Big Chill.  This surprise hit is worthy of the hype it has received both at home and abroad.
